The Brief
Like many cities Birmingham is faced with the expensive problem of cleaning up unsightly cigarette litter from its streets.
I was asked to create a graphic device to encourage smokers to dispose of their litter using the bins provided by the council rather than leaving butts on the ground. The graphic needed to be versatile enough to be used on large format posters, adverts and other media.

After exploring a range of ideas and directions the final design selected focuses on the sense of pride that locals feel towards their city and the idea that it was being ruined by cigarette litter.
